JM Direct team members particpate in cleaning up White Rock Lake


In the past, JM Direct invested most of its philanthropic efforts towards working with Operation Smile; an organization who raises funds and awareness for children born with cleft palates in less fortunate countries. However, this weekend JM Direct worked hard to spruce up the community that they all live and work in.

JM Direct members participated in White Rock Lake’s “For the Love of The Lake” Second Saturday clean up last Saturday morning, July 12, 2014..


After some ideas were tossed around about the different ways that JM Direct could impact their community directly, they came to the conclusion that they would take part in the Second Saturday clean up with other volunteers from around the Dallas area. The Second Saturday clean up is the perfect way to give back to the community while getting some exercise with your friends and neighbors.



Many team members of JM Direct visit White Rock Lake frequently for outdoor recreational activities, especially during the summer months. What better way for JM Direct team members to give back to the park and the great lake we enjoy every weekend then by helping to keep it beautiful and clean?



"It is important for JM Direct team members to volunteer in events that give back directly to the community that we live in. We are so excited to continue our work with White Rock Lake’s organization in order to help keep our lake clean and inviting for all who enjoy it." said Samantha Lozano, Human Resources Manager.


This was JM Direct’s second time to participate in the clean up as an organization, although some team members participate more regularly.

Meet Clarke White, JM Direct's newest Corporate Trainer

My name is Clarke White and I am currently a senior enrolled at TCU as an Economics major with a Mathematics minor and Business minor. I began working at JM Direct  in early June and honestly had no idea what to expect from it. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in an office with young, ambitious people – people just like myself

"I've always been told to surround myself with people I want to be like, and I consider myself extremely lucky to have found such a place through JM Direct."

During the relatively short time I've worked here, I have been able to learn and develop the skills required in sales, which is commonly referred to as the basis of all business. The leaders that are currently in place at JM Direct are more than willing to assist and teach any time someone may have concerns or questions. They also have a magical way of building one’s confidence, which translates to success in the field. I have also been given many opportunities to develop my leadership skills through JM Direct. I love the way the leadership program begins with self-management and continues to build up associates in small group settings until we eventually have the opportunity and responsibility to mentor others, recruit and grow our own teams.
I feel extremely blessed to have found such an opportunity to learn and be inspired by the hard working people who make up this company. I look forward to continuing to expand my personal abilities, helping others do the same, and seeing what other exciting opportunities that JM Direct has in store for me.

Dodge Ball Tournament for Operation Smile


On April 26, 2014 JM Direct hosted a dodge ball tournament to benefit their philanthropy, Operation Smile. The event featured six independently owned marketing and sales firms located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.




The tournament took place at Sole Roll Indoor Soccer Arena in Dallas, TX. Through participants purchasing raffle tickets for a 50/50 lottery, the event raised $590, enough funds to cover the cost of an entire cleft palate surgery.




After all the ducking, dodgeing and diving, all participants came together to share burgers, hot dogs, and tales of their dodge ball glory. Although not all played well, all left having done well.

JM Direct’s Director of Talent Acquisition and Corporate Branding, Elle Obarski, said JM Direct will continue their efforts to fundraise for Operation Smile.

            “It’s such a powerful surgery that gives back to these children and families in so many ways. What we’re doing here truly does change lives”

JM Direct worked to support Operation Smile with a recent charity event.

The JM Direct team spent the day hard at work going door-to-door, business to business and working in front of retail locations using their sales skills to raise money to bring smiles to children throughout the world.
 
Operation Smile is an organization with more t
han 5,000 volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and specialized health care professionals, perform free reconstructive surgeries for children with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. With the help of a mobilized force of medical professionals, the organization has provided more than 3.5 million comprehensive patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries.

When asked why are you passionate about Operation Smile? Kevin Mosley(Owner JM Direct) answered ...

"Operation Smile changes the trajectory of these children's lives, without the surgeries many of these kids would never make it in society or worse not make it to adulthood".



The Day of Smiles took place on Saturday October 5th in neighborhoods and businesses in the Plano and Frisco area. The JM Direct Smile Team reached out to the community face to face to ask for donations. By the end of the day JM Direct had raised over $400 for Operation Smile.

JM Direct, Inc. will hold a "Day of Smiles" fundraising event to support Operation Smile.

The entire team at JM Direct, Inc worked together to organize a national door-to-door fundraising campaign, utilizing their sales skills tthey will bring smiles to children throughout the world.

Operation Smile, founded in 1982, is an international charity for children in need of reconstructive surgery to repair facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. With the help of a mobilized force of medical professionals, the organization has provided more than 3.5 million comprehensive patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries.

Day of Smiles will take place on Saturday October 6th, 2013 from 11:00am to 3:00pm in the Frisco and Plano area.

We will be joining hundreds of other marketing companies around the country on one day to reach a combined goal of $150,000. That amount will allow us to sponsor a mission to a developiong country to change hundreds of childrens lives forever.

(Dallas, TX – August 29, 2013) On July 19th 2013 JM Direct Inc. hosted a successful networking and fundraising event in New Orleans, La for their philanthropy, Operation Smile.

Thanks to other independent marketing firms across the southeastern region who attended the event at Walk-On’s bar and bistro, Kevin Mosley, owner of JM Direct Inc., was happy to announce that “the event raised over $200 in just 2 hours”.

Event attendees bought raffle tickets to win executive coaching from top marketing consultant, Ed Cunliffe. The winner of the night’s raffle is Quincy Jones out of the Knoxville, TN. office.

JM Direct Inc. plans to have many more successful events this year for Operation Smile including a chili cook-off to celebrate college football.

We would like to introduce you to our Administrator Kyley White! She joined the JM Direct team in June of 2013 to aide us in our continued national expansion. We are excited to grow with Kyley to exceed her goals and ours! Here is a little background on Kyley.

Kyley White was born and raised in the suburbs of Dallas. After graduating from her small-town high school, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas with honors in Communication Studies. She loves people and it is this passion for relationship-building that has led her to pursue a career in Human Resources.

When asked why she chose JM Direct, Inc., she answered,
“JM Direct is the perfect place for people with a passion to grow professionally while building valuable relationships. They train from the ground up and they develop individuals into quality professionals with plenty of opportunity for advancement. If you’re working hard, you’re moving up!”
